If Katheyn O'Hanlon had one wish, it would be a memory of her childhood and the source of her nightmares. Psi-linked to her four-year-old nephew, she is dragged back to Pittsburgh to confront a renegade psychic. Kyle's father has been brutally murdered, and Kyle claims his toy tigers have done the deed led by Ty, the Siberian. It is up to Katheryn to remember where Ty is and how to destroy him before he destroys everything she cares about.
Is Kyle haunted by the homicidal family ghost or being driven insane by the horrorscope trapped in the depths of Katheryn's mind? Can Katheryn keep Keith Randall, an old flame, who takes the job of Kyle's counselor, out of the line of fire while she does her work when all Keith wants is to be wherever Katheryn is?
|Reviewed by Kathi for Fallen Angels Reviews 5 ANGEL REVIEW!||"Be prepared for goose bumps galore as you enter the world of a mind-controlling psychotic in Tygers. Brenna Lyons has penned a tale of psychological terror that will make you think twice before buying that adorable stuffed tiger. The romance between Keith and Katie, though secondary in the plot, is ripe with lust and a deep affection the reader can feel and believe. While Ty, her horrifying villain, is enough to keep anyone awake at night. This reviewer was glued to the screen throughout the entire book, anxious to see what would happen next. If it were possible, this book would receive more then our highest rating of 5 Angels. This reviewer is hooked on the Renegade Series and is very eager to start book two, Renegade's Run." |Reviewed by Tracey West for The Road to Romance||"Take a journey of pure danger and intrigue with Brenna Lyons' amazing first tale of the Renegade series. There are so many details in this story that are masterfully woven, making a tale that keeps a reader riveted and in awe of the authors talents. In the beginning, I would have bet money on Ty being the hero in Tygers, but that was quickly a lost gamble as the fast-paced story unfolded. Katheryn was an incredible heroine, tough, sarcastic, powerful and a hell-cat when it comes to her family. Mere words cannot describe this incredible tale that just has to be read to be believed. Romance smoldering beneath the surface, wonder of the Tygers, family loyalties, suspense, danger and chilling aspects that have a reader with children, looking at their kids toys very differently when they are done reading this. Tygers is very highly recommended for readers who enjoy any genre. Ms. Lyons has only just begun this series. I for one, hope it never ends. Tygers is a thoroughly engrossing erotic tale that is lively, energizing and superb. Even Ty is a character the reader will want more of...that might just be another story though..." |Reviewed by Dani Jacquel for JERR 4 STAR REVIEW!||"Tygers is an extremely long book that started off with a bang. The suspense was immediate and spectacular. Katie, at first, came off as a bit of a ball-buster, but it soon became obvious that her attitude was nothing more than protection against hurt. I really enjoyed Tygers. Brenna Lyons gave it an excellent sense of anticipation, even on some of the tamest things, such as why Katie dumped Keith in high school. Tygers was a great paranormal suspense!"|
|Reviewed by Xeranthemum for Whipped Cream Reviews 5 Cherries!||"Tygers is a hard hitting psychological thriller with an amazing array of characters, plot and drama. The paranormal twist is as devious and sinister as any intrigue lover could wish. When the book started, I was a bit confused because there are a lot of people being introduced and it seemed awfully busy. Theres a reason for that and it gradually becomes clear as the story progresses. If you remember the original series, Star Trek, and the reference to the Red Shirts, then you will understand what to expect. You just wont know who or when or -- and this is the creepy part -- how. The conflict is bizarre, nefarious, evil and downright nasty. Because Ms. Lyons wove the intrigue, the clues and the hints of truth throughout the book, I dont feel right in discussing it in a review. You are going to have to wade through the emotion, the shocks and the diabolical conspiracy like I did. When all is revealed, youll get that Wow, that was freaky! moment too. And be glad its only fiction. When Katie and Keith do get together, I mean this story does have a wonderful and complete happy ever after, they are smokin hot. Ms. Lyons peppers Tygers with an amazing cast of secondary characters that rivals any Hollywood script. Every person plays a role, serves a purpose and forwards the plot movement with nothing wasted or gratuitous. Its a well crafted tale, with dialogue and descriptives worthy of high praise. I would greatly recommend Tygers to any reader who seeks a book which encompasses intense plot and intelligence, suspense, passionate characters, mystery and a unique paranormal element to sweeten the pot."
